The
United Kindgom Live 8 concerts were held in the fabulous Hyde Park in London, England.
This park has great history in regards to music concerts and events. Hyde
Park is one of London's premium landscapes. It covers 350 acres. Hyde
Park provides facilities for many diverse sport and leisure activities
as well as being the focal point for public events of all sizes. It lies
between the Bayswater Road in the north and Knightsbridge in the south.
Over the years Hyde Park has been the host to hundreds of free concerts
and festivals including Pink Floyd, Blind Faith, The Rolling Stones, Roy
Harper and Queen.
Bands included Annie Lennox, Bob Geldof, Coldplay, Dido, Elton John, Joss
Stone, Keane, The Killers, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Ms. Dynamite, Paul McCartney,
Pink Floyd, Razorlight, REM, Robbie Williams, Scissor Sisters, Snoop Dogg,
Snow Patrol, Stereophonics, Travis, U2, UB40, and Velvet Revolver.
