The
Live 8 concerts held on 2, July 2005, were part of a series of global
concerts where-by musicians from all genres joined together to make a
statement directly to the members of the G8. Their message was clear;
they wanted the G8 to consider making positive choices about debt relief
in Africa.
The Live 8 Paris concert was held in the Versailles, a historical city
near Paris. Versailles, formerly the capital city of the kingdom of France,
is now a wealthy suburb of Paris. A fantastic backdrop and statement for
the live concert event indeed.
More than 30 top headlining musicians joined the global Live 8 concert
musical extravaganza called "Live 8 France".
